Our Lady
Mother of Sorrows. Health of the sick. Comforter of the afflicted.
Entrust your problems to me.No one will understand you as I do.
My Son carried the Cross for you. My Son suffered on the Cross for you. My son died on the Cross for you.
Why?
Because He loves you with an everlasting love.
When sufferings come, offer them as a sacrifice.
Suffering leads us to the heart of Jesus.
By the sufferings in His human nature during the Passion by which mankind was redeemed, Christ gave to all suffering a redeeming power when accepted and offered up in union with His Passion. As Pope John Paul II wrote:
"In bringing about the Redemption through suffering, Christ raised human suffering to the level of the Redemption. Thus each person, in their sufferings, can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ" (Salvifici Doloris).
And Jesus does not want His mother to see Him in His agony, yet He needs her so much.
When Mary meets her Son on the way to
To Redeem the world. To make all things new.
And from the Cross He gives her to us to be our Mother also - to share with us and comfort us in our trials, pains and sorrows. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to You.
St "Padre" Pio
We must never separate the Cross from Jesus; otherwise it would become a weight which in our weakness we could not carry.
Endure Tribulations Illness and Pain for the love of God and for the conversion of poor sinners.
Every day, when your heart especially feels the loniliness of life -
PRAY.
Pray to the Lord, even God needs our prayers.
One day when we will be able to see the full mid-day light, we will know what value and what treasures our earthly sufferings have been that have made us gain our everlasting Homeland.
